Round Table Sri Lanka (RTSL) has marked a significant milestone in its ongoing journey by officially launching its national magazine, Table Talk, and a new official website, www.rtsrilanka.com. This dual launch represents a strategic effort to enhance communication, preserve institutional memory, and increase visibility both nationally and internationally.

Established in 1993, RTSL is part of the global Round Table movement, which is a network of young professionals dedicated to community service, leadership development, and fostering international fellowship. Over the past three decades, RTSL has evolved into a dynamic and respected national body, comprising multiple Tables across Sri Lanka, actively contributing to both regional and global Tabling communities.

“The publication is more than a collection of articles. It is presented as a living archive of the RTSL’s journey, capturing stories of service, camaraderie, and growth,” stated Dilanka Mannakkara, President of Round Table Sri Lanka.

Pasan Weerasinghe, National Editor, emphasized the importance of documenting not only formal achievements but also the human stories, humor, and shared experiences that embody the spirit of Tabling.

The 2024/25 period was a landmark chapter in RTSL’s history. Sri Lanka hosted the Asia South Pacific Region Annual General Meeting, welcoming around 120 Tablers from the region. This event underscored the country’s organizational strength, hospitality, and administrative capabilities, showcasing unity, professionalism, and a clear sense of purpose through various fellowship events and formal governance sessions.

In late November 2025, when severe floods impacted communities across Sri Lanka, RTSL responded promptly and efficiently. The organization delivered and distributed over 5,000 meals and 17,000 ration packs, raising more than LKR 20 million in funds alongside substantial in-kind contributions. The relief effort involved early monitoring, coordinated fundraising, on-the-ground logistics, and sustained distribution in affected districts, demonstrating RTSL’s commitment to service that extends beyond fellowship to tangible national impact.

The relaunch of the official Table Talk magazine marks the return of a structured national publication platform. The February 2026 issue features leadership messages, reflections on major milestones, coverage of community initiatives, and stories capturing the spirit of Tabling in Sri Lanka. The magazine serves not just as a newsletter, but as a living archive of the organization’s journey, documenting achievements and shared experiences.

Complementing the magazine is the launch of the official website, designed as a centralized digital gateway for members, partners, and the wider public. It showcases ongoing projects, highlights national and international achievements, and provides accessible information about the organization’s mission and activities. In today’s digital age, the website enhances transparency and ensures RTSL’s work is visible beyond its immediate membership.

Together, the dual launch signifies a new phase of structured communication and forward-looking leadership, reflecting an organization confident in its achievements and committed to broadening its horizons while ensuring its story of fellowship and service is carefully recorded, widely shared, and sustained for future generations.
