On Wednesday, Sri Lanka’s rupee concluded trading at 310.85/95 against the US dollar in the spot market, showing a slight appreciation compared to the previous day’s rate of 310.95/311.05, according to market dealers. Meanwhile, bond yields experienced a slight increase.
The bond maturing on December 15, 2026, closed at a yield of 8.10/20 percent. The bond set to mature on September 15, 2027, ended the day at 8.50/60 percent, rising from 8.45/50 percent. In addition, the bond maturing on July 1, 2028, closed at 9.15/22 percent.
Furthermore, the bond due on December 15, 2029, recorded a closing yield of 9.55/60 percent. The bond maturing on October 1, 2032, closed at 10.20/30 percent, which is an increase from the previous 10.20/27 percent. Finally, the bond maturing on June 1, 2033, concluded at 10.50/55 percent, up from 10.47/52 percent, while the bond maturing on June 15, 2034, closed at 10.75/77 percent.
