FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Sri Lanka’s Altair has attracted prominent automotive brands to establish an automotive retail hub, as part of initiatives aimed at making the high-rise residence a sought-after anchor location in the city, according to a statement.
“Altair was always envisioned as more than a residential development; it was designed as a landmark destination in Sri Lanka,” said Thilan Wijesinghe.
“Automotive brands are a powerful expression of aspiration, luxury, good design, and innovation – values that underpin the Altair residences. As such, the presence of showrooms designed to international standards reinforces Altair’s position as a premium address chosen by global brands, represented by reputed corporates such as John Keells Holdings, Hayleys, and DIMO.”
A growing number of global automotive brands have strategically chosen to locate their flagship showrooms at Altair, drawn by its iconic architecture, prime positioning by Beira Lake, and reputation as one of the city’s most prestigious addresses.
Leading brands, including BYD, DENZA, TATA, JAECOO, OMODA, and KIA, are establishing a strong presence at Altair. TATA, JAECOO, and OMODA showrooms are already operational, while BYD, DENZA, and KIA are set to open shortly, bringing sophisticated and experiential automotive shopping directly to Colombo’s most distinctive development.
