Recently, the Sysco LABS Toastmasters Club achieved a noteworthy accomplishment during the Divisional Toastmasters Contest. Afreen Rumie, who serves as a Senior Project Lead at Sysco LABS and also holds the position of club president, earned the 2nd Place award in the Table Topics Speech Contest. She competed against top speakers from four different areas within District 82 and successfully progressed through several competitive rounds at both the club and area levels to reach this divisional event, distinguishing herself among nearly 500 participants throughout Sri Lanka.
This recognition underscores Sysco LABS’ ongoing commitment to developing confident communicators and preparing future leaders through initiatives like its Toastmasters Club. This platform is dedicated to enhancing public speaking skills, fostering leadership abilities, and promoting personal development.
