Sri Lanka has raised 40.62 billion rupees through the sale of Treasury bills at a recent auction, according to data released by the Ministry of Finance’s Public Debt Management Office.
The yield for three-month Treasury bills remained steady at 7.51 percent. Although 10 billion rupees of these bills were initially offered, the sale resulted in 13.28 billion rupees being sold.
Six-month Treasury bills also maintained an unchanged yield of 7.91 percent. Out of the 25 billion rupees offered, 17.37 billion rupees were sold.
The yield for twelve-month Treasury bills held firm at 8.03 percent. A total of 13 billion rupees was on offer, with 9.96 billion rupees being sold.
Overall, the auction attracted bids totaling 80.19 billion rupees.
