Sri Lanka has successfully sold 10 billion rupees worth of treasury bills offered on tap at an average yield of 7.91 percent, according to the Public Debt Management Office. This latest transaction brings the total value of treasury bills sold this week to 50.32 billion rupees.
The debt office confirmed that the 6-month treasury bills were sold at an average rate of 7.91 percent. Earlier in the week, on Wednesday (17), the office raised 40.62 billion rupees through the issuance of 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month bills at largely unchanged yields.
The settlement date for these transactions is set for December 19. (Colombo/Nov28/2025)
