Sri Lanka’s Browns Investments subsidiary sells Maldives resort for $57mn

Sri Lanka’s Browns Investments PLC has announced that its subsidiary, Browns Ari Resort (Private) Limited, has completed the sale of a property in the Maldives for 57.5 million US dollars.

The assets and business of the Barceló Whale Lagoon Maldives Resort were sold to ASB Hotel Properties Maldives Private Limited.

According to a filing with the stock exchange, the transaction was finalized after all conditions outlined in the Sale and Purchase Agreement were met, resulting in a total consideration of 57,500,000 US dollars.
