FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Central Bank Governor Nandalal Weerasinghe has projected Sri Lanka’s economic growth for 2026 to be approximately 4-5 percent. This announcement was made in conjunction with the release of the Central Bank’s policy agenda for the current year.

The Central Bank’s growth forecast for 2026 surpasses the predictions provided by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank, according to available data.
