Parakrama Dissanayake Named Adviser on Maritime Logistics to Sri Lanka’s President

Parakrama Dissanayake, a seasoned professional in the maritime industry, has been appointed as an advisor to Sri Lanka’s President Anura Dissanayake on matters related to maritime, ports, and logistics, according to a statement from the president’s media office.

Dissanayake has been leading Aitken Spence as its head since 2019. His extensive experience includes serving as the Secretary to the Ministry of Ports and as the former Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority.

Additionally, Dissanayake held the esteemed position of International President of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers in the UK from 2016 to 2018.
