Sri Lanka Expo 2026 Aims to Attract 1,500 International Buyers and Investors with Participation from 750 Exporters

Sri Lanka Expo 2026 is set to feature 750 exporters and host an investor forum, targeting the participation of 1,500 foreign attendees, including buyers, investors, and media representatives, according to Export Development Board Chairman Mangala Wijesinghe.

The event aims to highlight Sri Lanka’s exporters, promote the country as an investment hub, and bolster global investor confidence to enhance Sri Lanka’s exports to 36 billion US dollars by 2030. Currently, Sri Lanka’s goods and services exports are estimated to have generated 17 billion US dollars, as stated by Wijesinghe.

Exhibitors will present products across 24 distinct product and service categories. Additionally, thematic pavilions will focus on areas such as sustainable and green solutions, fair trade, and technology and innovation.

The Expo is scheduled to take place from June 18 to 21 and will include an investor forum, while also showcasing the country’s rich cultural and culinary heritage.

Industries Minister Sunil Handunetthi emphasized the strategic importance of Expo 2026, describing it as a platform for exporters to access new markets, attract international buyers, and showcase the best of Sri Lanka. “It brings together our policies, products, and people to create tangible business opportunities,” Handunetthi stated. He further stressed the need for Sri Lanka to diversify its export portfolio, move beyond traditional markets, and add value to its agriculture, lifestyle, ICT, and creative industries, all of which possess strong growth potential.

Organizers plan to offer complimentary accommodation to qualified buyers on a first-come, first-served basis, while SriLankan Airlines will provide discounted tickets. To facilitate interaction with potential buyers, a dedicated website, srilankaexpo.lk, has been launched.
