Sri Lanka Chamber Unveils Prestigious National Business Excellence Awards 2026

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) has officially launched the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026. This prestigious event aims to celebrate and recognize outstanding achievements in the business community.

The NBEA 2026 invites applications from a diverse range of businesses, including micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as large-scale organizations. Each applicant will undergo a thorough evaluation process to ensure that they meet the chamber’s high standards of excellence.

“We have implemented a transparent process to ensure that deserving winners are highlighted and appropriately rewarded,” stated Ajantha Dharmasiri, co-chair and member of the NBEA 2026 panel of judges.

Interested businesses have until March 17 to submit their applications for the awards. The date for the awards ceremony will be announced at a later time.

Winners will be selected based on two key performance metrics: drivers and deliverers. The judging criteria will include Leadership & Governance, Capacity Building, Performance Management, Market Reach, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) considerations.

“Ultimately, the proof of excellence lies in achieving your deliverables, financial performance, and overall robust business outcomes,” Dharmasiri added. “Excellence is fundamentally about profitable growth and sustaining your deliverables.”

The National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2026 will take place at the Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo.
