WindForce PLC has received the official Letter of Award from the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) for Lot 1 of the 50 MW Mullikulam Wind Power Project, positioning WindForce as the Lowest Cost Bidder in one of Sri Lanka’s most crucial renewable energy developments.

This award comes after the successful completion of all necessary statutory and regulatory approvals, including endorsements from the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee (CANC), the Cabinet of Ministers, and the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL). This process highlights the robustness, transparency, and credibility of the national procurement framework.

Situated in the high-potential wind corridor of the Mannar region, the Mullikulam Wind Power Project will significantly enhance Sri Lanka’s renewable energy capacity. This initiative aligns with national goals to increase clean energy production, bolster energy security, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

This achievement further expands WindForce’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy assets and underscores the company’s leadership in Sri Lanka’s energy transition. WindForce is dedicated to providing cost-effective, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions while maintaining the highest standards of governance, regulatory adherence, environmental stewardship, and long-term stakeholder value.

As Sri Lanka progresses towards a low-carbon energy future, key projects like Mullikulam are vital for fostering economic resilience, infrastructure development, and sustainable growth. They also enhance investor and public confidence in competitive and value-driven renewable energy procurement.
