A significant number of families have lost their homes and properties due to the devastation caused by Cyclone “Ditwah.” In response, the Government has initiated the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme, which aims to restore the lives of affected communities and reconstruct the nation.
As part of the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme, a housing construction project is currently underway for families whose homes were completely destroyed by the disaster. Generous citizens across the country are now encouraged to donate land needed for the construction of these houses.
To obtain more information, individuals can visit the website www.rebuildingsrilanka.gov.lk or call the hotline at 1800. Information from prospective land donors can also be sent via fax to 011 233 1246.
The Government is dedicated to ensuring that no citizen affected by the disaster is overlooked and is committed to rebuilding lives to an even higher standard than before. In alignment with this commitment, the Rebuilding Sri Lanka programme is being executed as a robust and transparent initiative.
Philanthropic individuals across the country are invited to actively participate in this programme to support fellow citizens impacted by the disaster.
