Ex-Auditor General W.P.C. Wickramaratne Appointed to CT Land Development PLC Board

CT Land Development PLC has announced the appointment of Mr. Widana Pathiranage Chulantha Wickramaratne, the former Auditor General of Sri Lanka, as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective February 3, 2026.

This appointment follows a recommendation by the company’s Nominations and Governance Committee and was approved by the Board of Directors through a circular resolution dated February 3, 2026. In addition to his directorship, Mr. Wickramaratne will serve as a member of the Audit Committee, Related Party Transactions Review Committee, Nominations and Governance Committee, and the Remuneration Committee.

In accordance with Colombo Stock Exchange Listing Rules, the company has disclosed that Mr. Wickramaratne holds no shares in CT Land Development PLC as of the date of his appointment.

Mr. Wickramaratne brings over 35 years of experience in public sector finance, audit, governance, and institutional reform, having served as the Auditor General of Sri Lanka from 2019 to 2025. His tenure was marked by overseeing audits of government ministries, departments, public corporations, and state-owned enterprises, while also serving as a principal advisor to Parliamentary Oversight Committees, including COPA and COPE.

He is a Fellow Member of CA Sri Lanka, a qualified accountant with CIPFA UK, an Associate Member of ICMA Sri Lanka, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Special) degree with Second Class Upper Division honors from the University of Kelaniya.

After retiring from public service, Mr. Wickramaratne transitioned to the corporate sector and currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director at CT Holdings PLC and Cargills (Ceylon) PLC.
