Sri Lanka and EU Convene for 27th Joint Commission Meeting

Sri Lanka and the European Union (EU) are set to convene the 27th Session of the EU-Sri Lanka Joint Commission in Colombo on 12 February 2026. This significant meeting will gather senior officials from both parties to evaluate and enhance cooperation across various domains, including governance, human rights, trade, development cooperation, and other bilateral and regional priorities.

The Joint Commission will be co-chaired by Ms. Aruni Ranaraja, Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, and Ms. Paola Pampaloni, Acting Managing Director for Asia and the Pacific of the European External Action Service (EEAS).

During their visit, the EU delegation will also engage with senior Sri Lankan dignitaries to discuss collaborative strategies and outline concrete steps to further strengthen the ongoing partnership.
