Waruna Sri Dhanapala Named Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy

Mr. Waruna Sri Dhanapala has been officially appointed as the Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The formal letter of appointment was presented to him this afternoon, October 13, at the Presidential Secretariat. The Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, handed over the appointment letter.

Mr. Dhanapala, a Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, had been serving in the capacity of Acting Secretary to the Ministry of Digital Economy since November 29, 2024, prior to his official appointment.
