by

in ,

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has announced that its Managing Director, Kristalina Georgieva, will visit Sri Lanka from February 16 to 18. During her visit, Georgieva is scheduled to engage with Sri Lankan authorities and various stakeholders. She will also witness firsthand the impact of Cyclone Ditwah and discuss how the IMF can support the country’s recovery efforts and contribute to building a stronger future for all Sri Lankans.

The IMF is currently in discussions to combine the fifth and sixth reviews of the Extended Fund Facility with Sri Lanka. This consideration follows a delay in the last review due to the impact of Cyclone Ditwah, as noted by Mission Chief Evan Papageorgiou.
