President to Attend AI Impact Summit 2026 in India Today

At the special invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to depart for India this afternoon to attend the AI Impact Summit 2026.

The summit, hosted under the patronage of Prime Minister Modi, will focus on the responsible application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the benefit of humanity. President Dissanayake is scheduled to deliver an address at the summit on the 19th.

This five-day event will convene Heads of State from 20 countries, alongside representatives from over 45 nations. The summit is expected to feature extensive discussions on the future trajectory of AI and its potential role in addressing global challenges.

During his visit to India, President Dissanayake is also anticipated to engage in bilateral discussions with Prime Minister Modi and several other world leaders.
