As the 147th Battle of the Blues approaches, Grand Park Arena is proud to announce its role as the Official Cricket Academy and Sports Complex Partner, highlighting its growing influence in cultivating Sri Lanka’s future cricket talent.
Over the past five years, the arena has distinguished itself as a premier training venue, offering day-and-night sessions with international-standard indoor floodlights and outdoor center matting wickets. It boasts modern player facilities, including advanced bowling machines. Upholding its philosophy, “Train Like a Pro,” the Grand Park Arena (GPA) attracts mercantile and school teams, government institutions, and other academies for training. Several prominent school-level players and emerging leaders have started their journeys at the GPA Cricket Academy.
Chairperson Mrs. Chandima Ranasinghe expressed, “The academy was founded with a clear vision: to provide young cricketers access to international-standard facilities within a focused and inspiring environment. Seeing our players step onto iconic platforms like the Battle of the Blues reaffirms our commitment to structured development and excellence.”
Entering its sixth year, Grand Park Arena is set to expand into pickleball, one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, marking the next phase in its evolution.
