Hayleys Solar, Sri Lanka’s leading solar solutions provider, has successfully completed a 4,036 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) installation for Pussalla Meat Producers (Pvt) Ltd. This project, implemented across six farm locations, supports the company’s transition to renewable energy and enhances sustainability within Sri Lanka’s poultry sector.
The solar installations span Pussalla’s farm locations in Ganewatta, Hiripitiya, Mangalaeliya, Mahakumbukkadawala, Dompe, and Nagawilluwa. This multi-site project enables the company to meet a substantial portion of its energy needs through renewable sources.
In addition to operational efficiencies, the solar installation provides significant environmental benefits. The project is anticipated to generate clean energy, leading to an annual reduction in carbon emissions by approximately 3,392,247 tonnes, thereby making a meaningful contribution to national sustainability goals.
Mr. Dilshan Wewita, Managing Director of Pussalla Meat Producers (Pvt) Ltd, commented on the project: “As a fully integrated poultry producer, energy reliability is critical to our operations. This multi-site solar installation is a key component of our broader sustainability initiatives, supporting our transition towards renewable energy while strengthening business continuity and operational resilience across all locations. We chose Hayleys Solar for their proven expertise in delivering large-scale, multi-location solar projects.”
Mr. Roshane Perera, Chief Executive Officer of Hayleys Solar, added: “Delivering a project of this scale across multiple locations reflects our expertise in executing complex solar solutions for energy-intensive industries.
