Colombo Land Prices Surge in Second Half of 2025

The Land Valuation Indicator (LVI) for the Colombo District experienced a significant increase of 10.6% during the second half of 2025, compared to the corresponding period in 2024. This upward trend was evident across all sub-indicators of the LVI, which include Residential, Commercial, and Industrial segments.

Specifically, the Residential LVI saw an annual rise of 12.4%, while the Commercial LVI increased by 11.3%, and the Industrial LVI grew by 8.0%. On a semi-annual basis, the LVI and its sub-indicators showed moderate increases during the latter half of 2025 when compared to the first half of the same year. Notably, both the Commercial and Residential LVIs recorded more substantial growth compared to the first half of 2025.
