John Keells Consumer Foods Sector Triumphs with Multiple Honors at 2025 TAGS Awards

The John Keells Consumer Foods Sector (JKCF) has once again showcased its leadership in financial reporting excellence by securing multiple accolades at the esteemed CA TAGS Awards 2025. This recognition highlights the sector’s steadfast commitment to transparency, accountability, and disciplined financial stewardship across its portfolio, which includes Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS) and Keells Food Products PLC (KFP).

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s oldest and most respected companies, established in 1866 and known for iconic brands such as Elephant House, was awarded the Gold Award in the Food & Beverages Companies category (Group Turnover above LKR 15 BN). Meanwhile, Keells Food Products PLC, a pioneer in Sri Lanka’s processed food industry since 1983, received the Gold Award in the Food & Beverages Companies category (Group Turnover up to LKR 15 BN). Additionally, Ceylon Cold Stores PLC earned the Bronze Award for Corporate Governance Disclosure in the Non-Financial Services category. The awards were accepted by the Finance Team of the John Keells Consumer Foods Sector, illustrating a cohesive and disciplined sector-wide approach to governance and high-quality disclosure standards.

The TAGS Awards honor organizations that exemplify excellence in transparency, accountability, and corporate reporting aligned with regulatory best practices. The multiple accolades secured by CCS and KFP underscore the strength of the sector’s integrated governance framework and its enduring commitment to building trust with investors, regulators, and stakeholders.
