FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – LankaPay, Sri Lanka’s National Payment Network, has announced that the 8th edition of the LankaPay Technnovation Awards will focus on the theme of ‘Inclusive FinTech’.
Channa de Silva, CEO of LankaPay, highlighted the motivation behind the awards during an event at Hilton Colombo Residencies, stating, “We wanted to recognize the people who have contributed, so they get motivated to drive more.”
The awards aim to honor financial institutions, fintech companies, and government bodies that effectively utilize and promote digital payment services.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for March 24 and will be held at Cinnamon Life City of Dreams in Colombo. The event will feature Central Bank Governor Nandalal Weerasinghe as the chief guest, with the Deputy Minister of Digital Economy, Eranga Weerarathne, and the Chief Advisor to the President, Hans Wijayasuriya, attending as guests of honor.
