As the company reflects on more than three decades of progress, it is increasingly prioritizing not just the locations of its growth, but the methodologies behind that growth.

The process for achieving carbon-neutral certification involved a thorough evaluation of Aberdeen Holdings’ greenhouse gas emissions and environmental practices, examining factors such as energy and water usage, transportation, waste management, and various operational activities.

This detailed assessment allowed the Group to gain valuable insights into its environmental impact and to implement the necessary strategies to attain carbon neutrality.

For Aberdeen Holdings, this accomplishment represents a significant shift towards integrating sustainability into its business choices and operational methods throughout the organization.

“Achieving this certification is a crucial milestone for Aberdeen Holdings,” stated Mr. Abdullah Kassim, Group Director of Aberdeen Holdings. “It showcases our dedication to understanding and minimizing our environmental footprint while enhancing responsible practices within the Group. We view this not as a conclusion, but as a starting point for ongoing efforts.”

Given its diverse business operations, Aberdeen Holdings acknowledges that the future of sustainable growth will necessitate a balance between ambition and accountability, focusing on generating economic value while being mindful of its environmental and societal impacts.

Thus, this certification serves as a beginning rather than an endpoint. This milestone was made possible with the support of Co-Energi (Pvt) Ltd., which provided consultancy and guidance throughout Aberdeen Holdings’ journey to carbon neutrality, while the NCPC conducted the evaluation and certification.

Looking ahead, Aberdeen Holdings plans to persist in assessing its environmental performance, enhancing resource efficiency, and reinforcing responsible practices across its operations, all while fostering a culture that increasingly incorporates sustainability into daily activities.

As Aberdeen Holdings embarks on this new chapter, the Group remains steadfast in its commitment to build upon three decades of enterprise, with a clear goal: to grow responsibly, operate with awareness, and create enduring value for future generations.
