FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – Access Solar and Access Real Estate/Residencies have appointed javelin thrower Rumesh Tharanga as their corporate brand ambassador, marking the beginning of a sponsorship agreement designed to offer both financial support and logistical assistance as he prepares for the 2028 Olympic Games.
According to the companies, this collaboration will also extend support to Tharanga’s coach.
“This partnership seeks to enhance the visibility of Sri Lankan sports internationally, highlighting the essential role of corporate sponsorship in fostering athletic success,” they stated.
Tharanga has made history as the first male javelin thrower from Sri Lanka to compete in the finals of the World Athletics Championships.
“My ultimate goal is to compete in the 2028 Olympic Games. Prior to that, I will be concentrating on the 2026 Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games,” Tharanga commented.
Access Real Estate and Access Solar are both part of the Access Group of Companies, with the former focusing on property development and the latter on renewable energy solutions.
