Akbar Brothers wins top honours at Presidential Export Awards 2024/25

Akbar Brothers Ltd., has secured four major titles at the 27th Presidential Export Awards 2024/2025, hosted by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board, winning the Overall Award for Net Foreign Exchange Earner of the Year. The company was also honoured with Globally Outreached Sri Lankan Brand of the Year for its “Akbar Brand,” Best Exporter Tea – (Large), and the Best Tea Exporter (Large)-Merit Award.

With this recognition, the company celebrates its 48th Presidential Export Award and maintains its position as Sri Lanka’s Largest Tea Exporter for over 30 consecutive years.

Company officials noted that the recognition underscores Akbar Brothers’ unwavering commitment to quality, Sri Lanka’s export economy and its continued efforts to elevate Ceylon Tea on the global stage.
