Baladaksha Mawatha Flyover Inaugurated, A Rs. 3.2 Billion Infrastructure Milestone

The Baladaksha Mawatha flyover was inaugurated today, enhancing connectivity from Galle Face to Chittampalam A. Gardiner Mawatha in Kompanna Vidiya. This newly opened infrastructure measures 340 meters in length and 11 meters in width.

This marks the third flyover completed under the broader flyover development initiative designed to alleviate traffic congestion in Colombo. The project was executed by the Road Development Authority (RDA) with financial backing from the Government of Sri Lanka. It forms part of the Sustainable Road Development Programme overseen by the Ministry of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development.
