Bitget Celebrates International Women’s Day with a Call for Female Leadership in Shaping Web3’s Future

Bitget, recognized as the world’s largest Universal Exchange (UEX), is celebrating International Women’s Day under its flagship Blockchain4Her initiative. This effort aligns with the company’s commitment to inclusion and gender diversity, seen as vital for long-term growth in the blockchain industry.

The campaign, centered around the question, “How can we achieve mass adoption without women?”, urges the industry to address a fundamental issue: excluding half of the global population imposes a structural limitation on liquidity, innovation, and returns. Bitget views gender inclusion not only as a social responsibility but also as a commercial and economic necessity for an industry seeking sustainable growth.

“We are aware of the many challenges surrounding the representation of women, particularly in STEM fields. The disparity is significant, even in crypto,” stated Gracy Chen, CEO at Bitget. “It’s imperative for major players to recognize the capabilities and influence women have, especially in the financial sector. Every small step counts.”

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Bitget is launching a global social media initiative aimed at recognizing and challenging unconscious bias in Web3. The campaign video highlights how women are increasingly entering spaces traditionally dominated by men, and how real progress can be made when women take charge of shaping the future. Industry leaders, builders, creators, and users are encouraged to share their insights and propose concrete actions to create more inclusive and accountable structures across Web3.

Additionally, Bitget is introducing an International Women’s Day Limited Edition Card in collaboration with Bitget Wallet. This card includes design elements focused on anti-bias messaging and inclusivity, offering exclusive benefits to users who support gender diversity within the blockchain space. Bitget Wallet Card users can use these cards globally with Mastercard and Visa, available in over 50 countries across Europe, LATAM, and APAC.

Offline engagement is a key component of the campaign. Building on the “Lady Forward” initiative introduced last year, Bitget will organize a series of interactive events across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, the CIS, and LATAM. These events are designed to be safe, open spaces where women can share experiences, build networks, and engage in discussions about leadership, finance, and technology.

Activities will include creative workshops, such as flower arranging, perfume making, pottery, and nail art, along with networking sessions and panel discussions featuring women leaders from both Web2 and Web3 sectors. Notably, Bitget is hosting a mini-conference, panel discussions, and an Iftar dinner in Southeast Asia, highlighting the campaign’s focus on cultural inclusivity and community-driven dialogue.

Through its International Women’s Day campaign, Bitget continues to promote Blockchain4Her as a long-term commitment to reshaping participation in crypto. The company sees diversity not as a limitation but as a catalyst for broader adoption and stronger markets.
