Bourse Recovery Sees ASPI Cross 23,000 Again

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) concluded Monday’s trading session on a positive note, with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) once more surpassing the significant 23,000-point mark. The ASPI had previously exceeded this threshold on November 20, 2025. The market had reached its all-time high on November 12, 2025, with the index at 23,659.7 points. However, a gradual decline followed, dropping the ASPI below 23,000, making Monday’s close the first to rise above this level since November 20.

At the end of trading, the ASPI was recorded at 23,014.75 points, marking an increase of 150.67 points, or 0.66 percent, from the previous trading day. Simultaneously, the S&P SL20 Index also experienced an uptick, gaining 41.35 points to close at 6,227.44.

Market turnover remained robust, with trading activity reaching Rs. 5.77 billion for the day.
