With over 25 years of experience in the apparel industry in Sri Lanka, Dr. Abeygunawardena has gained a reputation as an expert in merchandising, sourcing, operations, supply chain management, Lean Enterprise, customer relations, process improvement, and business transformation. Throughout her career, she has spearheaded initiatives that have significantly improved operational efficiency, enhanced customer interactions, and promoted sustainable business growth at one of Sri Lanka’s leading apparel firms.
Currently, she holds the position of Consultant for Process Excellence and Customer Interface at a well-known garment company in Sri Lanka, where she continues to lead initiatives focused on customer-centric process enhancements and operational excellence, driving business transformation and ongoing improvement within the organization. Her professional background also includes her role as a District Wealth Planner at AIA Sri Lanka, where she achieved the esteemed Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) qualification, highlighting her proficiency in financial advisory and client relations.
In addition to her corporate endeavors, Dr. Abeygunawardena is the Co-Founder of Blues of Nature, reflecting her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to sustainable business practices.
