Ceylinco Life has initiated the construction of its 36th branch, marked by the laying of the foundation stone for an environmentally sustainable building in Kirindiwela. This move underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to investing in sustainable infrastructure while enhancing customer service.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Ceylinco Life’s Chairman, Mr. R. Renganathan, along with Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Thushara Ranasinghe, members of the Board of Directors, senior management, valued clients, and notable guests from the Kirindiwela region.

The company has persistently dedicated resources to creating purpose-built branch locations that serve as flagship establishments. The new Kirindiwela branch will be part of a network that includes 35 existing company-owned branches across the nation, all designed to deliver high standards of service and modern amenities.

This new facility will be constructed on land owned by the company and will adhere to its green building initiative, which integrates environmentally-friendly design and energy-efficient technologies.
Covering an area of 3,440 square feet, the Kirindiwela branch will employ locally developed prefabricated construction technology from the National Engineering Research and Development Centre (NERD). It is designed to operate entirely on a solar power system, eliminating the need for electricity from the national grid.
Among the key sustainable features planned for the building are designs promoting natural ventilation, a layout that respects the local topography, a green area with grass between interlocking blocks, energy-efficient air conditioning and lighting, and a rainwater harvesting system. Additionally, a dedicated Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) will recycle wastewater for use in toilet flushing and gardening. The company will also implement a ‘Reuse’ strategy for air-conditioning and electronic equipment, further reducing environmental impact.
The new facility will also include parking for over 10 vehicles, providing greater convenience for customers.
