The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has officially announced the commencement of Scale Up 2.0, its premier National SME Forum set for August 11, 2026, at the Taj Samudra in Colombo. This year’s theme is “Connected, Competitive, Ready to Grow.”
As small and medium enterprises (SMEs) grapple with various obstacles such as market access, financing, evolving business demands, and integration into both local and international value chains, Scale Up 2.0 serves as a vital platform. It aims to link SMEs with essential stakeholders and resources, enabling them to navigate these challenges effectively. The forum will provide SMEs the opportunity to engage directly with buyers, financial institutions, policymakers, and organizations that offer business support, thus facilitating the discovery of opportunities, access to vital resources, and the establishment of connections to enhance their operations and foster business growth.
Building on the achievements of the first Scale Up Forum, this year’s gathering will once again unite policymakers, business leaders, financial organizations, development partners, and SMEs to explore solutions that can bolster the long-term competitiveness and growth prospects of Sri Lanka’s SME sector.
The event will kick off with a plenary session focused on national priorities in SME development, followed by three specialized sessions that will delve into topics such as market access and value chain integration, standards and certification, and strategies to scale mid-sized enterprises through improved investment preparedness and access to financing.
In addition to the conference sessions, the forum will feature a dedicated B2B networking segment that encourages businesses to initiate discussions, explore potential partnerships, identify financing opportunities, and access support services tailored to address growth challenges. This interactive environment is anticipated to foster new business connections, procurement opportunities, and guidance that will support sustainable business expansion.
