The Classic Car Club of Ceylon (CCCC) marked the successful completion of its 34th year during its Annual General Meeting, which took place on June 25, 2026, at The Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo.
This meeting served as a reflection of the Club’s achievements over the past year, which featured an array of successful events and initiatives that showcased Sri Lanka’s dynamic classic car culture. Among these events were Starlight & Classics, the Ceylon Motor Show 2026, the Heritage Rally, British Car Day 2026, the Classic Car Diaries video series, and the Club’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project.
Dr. Harsha Cabral acted as the Protem Chairman for the meeting, during which he proposed Sanjiv Alles for re-election as President for a fourth consecutive term. The membership present unanimously supported this nomination, and also elected the Office Bearers and Executive Committee for the 2026–2027 term.
In his acceptance speech, the President expressed gratitude towards the members for their trust in him and the Committee. He reiterated the Club’s dedication to safeguarding and promoting Sri Lanka’s rich classic motoring legacy. Additionally, he emphasized the necessity of ongoing innovation through distinctive events, educational programs, and digital outreach, while motivating members to engage actively in the Club’s endeavors and inspire future generations of classic car enthusiasts.
