Chef Panwang will oversee the culinary operations at Spice 8, the flagship Pan-Asian restaurant at City of Dreams Sri Lanka. His extensive background in both traditional and modern Chinese cuisine is expected to enrich the dining experience for both local patrons and international visitors.

Originating from Bengbu City in Anhui Province, Chef Panwang has cultivated a remarkable career, holding senior culinary positions at some of the world’s most esteemed hospitality brands and luxury resorts. His professional journey includes significant roles at The Kingsbury Colombo, The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort, Narcissus Hotel and Resort, as well as various five-star resorts in the Maldives, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining City of Dreams Sri Lanka in March 2026, he was the Chinese Chef de Cuisine at The Kingsbury Colombo.
Chef Panwang is celebrated for his expertise in a range of Chinese culinary styles, including Cantonese, Szechuan, Huaiyang, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hunan.
