FINANCIAL CHRONICLE – A delegation from the Cochin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) in India made a visit to the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce today to investigate business prospects and enhance relationships within the private sector.
The meeting served as an avenue for representatives from both chambers, along with business leaders, to share insights on market potential, emerging industry trends, and collaborative opportunities, as noted by the Ceylon Chamber.
Discussions centered on possible collaborations in various sectors, including logistics and shipping, import and export trade, medical supplies, cold storage solutions, advertising and marketing, as well as the tea industry.
Among those present were CCCI President Vinodini Sukumar, former President C. S. Kartha, CCCI officials, and Indian business delegates, who engaged with Ceylon Chamber Chairperson Krishan Balendra, Secretary General and CEO Shiran Fernando, Deputy Secretary General Alikie Perera, and other chamber representatives.
The delegates participated in a business-to-business networking session with Sri Lankan firms to pinpoint areas for potential cooperation.
They explored how enterprises in both nations could utilize their respective strengths to foster more robust regional ties.
The conversations highlighted opportunities for broader collaboration through investments, technological partnerships, knowledge sharing, and business services, underscoring the increasing significance of enhanced private-sector collaborations between Sri Lanka and India.
