Colombo to Host Purple Mile: An Evening Fiesta and Community Walk This October

The Bishop’s College Past Pupils’ Association is uniting alumni for a special event that combines a walk, a celebration, and a meaningful initiative aimed at enhancing the school’s future.

Returning to Bishop’s College evokes a sense of nostalgia, as familiar faces emerge, stories resume mid-conversation, and the impression of time standing still takes over. On Saturday, October 17, 2026, alumni from various years are invited to partake in Purple Mile, featuring an afternoon walk followed by an evening celebration.

The walking event will commence at Bishop’s College at 4 PM, progressing to Rifle Green located at the Air Force Grounds. Starting at 6 PM, the atmosphere will shift as food and beverage stalls open, and live entertainment is provided by Band OIC and DJ Kosala, allowing attendees to reconnect with friends and family while enjoying the festivities.
