Sri Lanka’s Commercial Bank and GAIA Greenenergy Holdings are collaborating to provide green loans and leases, enabling customers to purchase solar power systems at affordable rates. The bank will offer preferential interest rates starting at 10.00 percent per annum, with repayment terms extending up to seven years, aiming to promote the adoption of solar installations, according to a recent statement.

Customers will have the opportunity to utilize the bank’s Green Loans and Green Leases to finance the purchase and installation of solar panels, benefiting from some of the most competitive green financing rates currently available in the market.

GAIA will enhance this initiative by offering a comprehensive suite of services that include the development, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of Solar PV systems. Options range from standard solar systems to hybrid models starting from 3 kW upwards.

The solar systems installed by GAIA are monitored in real-time through a central control division at its headquarters, allowing the company’s design and engineering teams to provide clients with prompt advice on any performance deviations.

Customers participating in this scheme will receive a year of free service and insurance. Additionally, GAIA offers 12-year warranties on panels, 10-year warranties on inverters, and a 30-year performance guarantee on the panels.

This scheme will be available until December 2.
