According to a brief biography provided by LAUGFS, Mr. Muthukumarana is a distinguished professional with over 26 years of experience spanning various sectors, including banking and finance, consumer goods, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, enterprise software, and technology consulting. He has occupied senior leadership positions in both Sri Lankan and global companies, including those on the Fortune 500 list, where he has developed significant expertise in business transformation, enterprise architecture, strategic planning, and innovation.
Throughout his career, he has successfully steered intricate transformation projects, enhanced operational efficiencies, and aligned technology with corporate strategies. His strategic, commercial, and technological leadership skills will be invaluable as LAUGFS seeks to achieve operational excellence and create long-term value.
Muthukumarana is an executive alumnus of the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School in the UK, where he excelled in Strategic Innovation. He also holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, alongside postgraduate qualifications in Information Technology. Presently, he is furthering his studies in Economics.
He is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (MIEEE) in the USA, the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) in the UK, and the British Computer Society (MBCS). In 2019, Echelon magazine recognized him as one of Sri Lanka’s Top 100 Next-Generation Business Leaders (NE100) and he was the first Sri Lankan to join the Forbes Technology Council.
