The event was attended by representatives from the Sports Ministry, Sri Lanka Cricket, the media, and the corporate sector, as well as former and current national cricketers. It highlighted Sri Lanka’s rich cricketing heritage and the profound support the sport enjoys among fans, while emphasizing the importance of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2026 for local audiences.

As excitement builds for the tournament, the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup trophy was ceremoniously displayed during the event, allowing attendees to view a globally recognized symbol of the competition up close.
