Plans are currently being developed to initiate direct flights between Colombo and Ahmedabad, India. Deputy Minister of Tourism, Ruwan Ranasingha, announced that these flights are expected to begin in April this year, operated by SriLankan Airlines.

“We aim to launch a direct flight service from Ahmedabad in Gujarat to Colombo via SriLankan Airlines starting in April. This initiative will provide Sri Lankan devotees with the opportunity to travel to Gujarat for religious pilgrimage activities,” stated Deputy Minister Ranasingha.
