Domino’s Sri Lanka Celebrates 15 Years by Unveiling the Nation’s Longest Pizza

Domino’s, the leading pizza chain globally, celebrated its 15-year presence in Sri Lanka by crafting the longest pizza ever produced in the country. This event brought together staff and partners to commemorate this significant achievement.

Since its launch in Sri Lanka in 2011, Domino’s has served over two million customers and their families, becoming a staple in various celebrations, family gatherings, late-night cravings, and everyday moments throughout the nation.

In reflecting on this milestone, Shayana Seneviratne, the Marketing Country Head for Domino’s Sri Lanka, stated, “We aimed to celebrate our 15 years in a manner that embodies the essence of Domino’s. Our intention was not merely to acknowledge our past but to create a memorable event. Collaborating with our team to construct this remarkable pizza was an ideal way to commemorate our anniversary.”

Seneviratne emphasized that Domino’s global presence is strengthened by its ability to blend worldwide expertise, quality, and scale with a profound understanding of Sri Lankan consumer preferences.

Throughout the years, Domino’s Sri Lanka has adapted its menu to align with evolving local tastes. In addition to its classic pizza offerings, the brand has ventured into items such as burgers and various rice dishes, with an increasing emphasis on innovation driven by consumer feedback and creating more opportunities for customers to enjoy Domino’s products.

The record-setting pizza was envisioned by Chef Nalaka Mahawaththa, with implementation support from the Domino’s operational team led by Suranga Perera, who coordinated efforts across the organization to ensure the anniversary event’s success.

This event also acknowledged the efforts and leadership of Vijaya Bhaskar, the Country Head of Domino’s Sri Lanka, in fostering continuous innovation and setting higher benchmarks for the company in the region.

This anniversary comes on the heels of a notable achievement for Domino’s Sri Lanka, which received the esteemed Golden Franny Award for Overall Performance in both 2024 and 2025, marking it as the first South Asian market to achieve this global accolade.

Looking ahead, Domino’s Sri Lanka intends to focus its future growth on innovation, enhancing customer experience, improving convenience, and strengthening local relevance, all while leveraging the global resources and expertise of the Domino’s brand.
