EDB Hosts Matara Networking Forum to Boost Southern Province Exports on February 24

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) is organizing the Southern Province Regional Exporters’ Networking Forum, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, in Matara. This forum aims to identify the challenges faced by regional exporters, empower them, and explore new opportunities for growth.

Participants will include exporters and government officials from the districts of Galle, Matara, Hambantota, and Monaragala. The event will be led by the Minister of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development, Sunil Hadunnetti, providing exporters with a unique platform to present their concerns directly to the Minister and engage in open dialogue.

In attendance will also be heads of relevant government institutions and Export Development Officers from district and divisional secretariat offices, with the goal of offering swift solutions to exporters’ issues.

To facilitate more productive discussions, the Southern Province Office of the Export Development Board has commenced collecting specific concerns and proposals from exporters within the region.
