Recent figures from the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) indicate that the Fund has completely divested from six companies on the Colombo Stock Exchange throughout 2025.
As of December 31, 2024, the EPF’s equity investments encompassed 65 companies. However, by the end of 2025, this number had reduced to 59.
A year-end analysis of the Fund’s portfolio shows that it has fully exited the following firms:
- Cargills Bank PLC
- Ceylon Hotels Corporation PLC
- Colombo Dockyard PLC
- Jetwing Symphony PLC
- Laugfs Gas PLC (both Voting and Non-Voting)
- Sierra Cables PLC
During the same year, the EPF made one new investment, acquiring 40 million shares in Hemas Holdings PLC.
By the close of 2025, the EPF’s portfolio of listed equities comprised 59 companies, with a total acquisition cost amounting to Rs. 77.92 billion and a market valuation of Rs. 188.85 billion.
