GovPay Celebrates Milestone Year, Advancing Sri Lanka’s Digital Governance Revolution

One year ago, GovPay was launched to transform the way citizens interact with government services. Today, it plays a crucial role in Sri Lanka’s digital governance journey, enhancing the delivery of public services to be faster, more transparent, and citizen-focused.

With over Rs. 2.7 billion in digital transactions processed, 252 government agencies onboarded, and thousands of services now accessible online, GovPay continues to build trust, inclusivity, and efficiency within the public sector.

This achievement highlights the strong commitment of the Ministry of Digital Economy, the Information and Communication Technology Agency (ICTA), LankaPay, partner institutions, and citizens working collaboratively to create a digitally empowered Sri Lanka.

Here’s to celebrating a year of progress and looking forward to many more milestones in the future.
