Hameedia, a prominent menswear and lifestyle brand in Sri Lanka, has been designated as the Official Clothing Partner for Team Sri Lanka after finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC) and the Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) of Sri Lanka. The agreement was formalized during a signing event held on August 11, 2026, at Olympic House, establishing a collaboration that will see Hameedia providing attire for the country’s athletes and officials at forthcoming international sporting competitions.
The MoU was signed by Mikail Hameed, who serves as the Head of Design and Business Development at Hameedia, along with representatives from the NOC’s management board. The ceremony also featured attendees including Habiba Hameed, who oversees Marketing and Business Development for Hameedia Women; Asma Hussain, the Brand Manager for Husn; and Kasun Weerasinghe, Head of Marketing at Hameedia. On behalf of the NOC and CGA, significant figures present included Asanga Seneviratne, President of NOC/CGA Sri Lanka; Rifdy Fahmy, Secretary General of NOC/CGA Sri Lanka; Dilshan Mohamed, Chairman of the NOC Sri Lanka’s Marketing and Sponsorship Committee; Danuna Tilakaratne, Chef de Mission of Team Sri Lanka for the upcoming 7th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Riyadh 2026; and Niluka Karunaratne OLY, Chairman of the Games Committee and Athletes Commission of the NOC Sri Lanka.
As part of this collaboration, Hameedia will be responsible for designing and manufacturing the official attire for Team Sri Lanka, commencing with the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2026 and extending through the Commonwealth Youth Games in 2027.
