In line with this shift, Hayleys Mobility has supplied Jetwing Travels with 21 JAECOO J7 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs). These vehicles will be utilized by Jetwing Travels and Jetwing Journeys for airport transfers, excursions, and extended tours across the island.

Hayleys Mobility is part of Hayleys Fentons Limited, the energy, mobility, and projects division of Hayleys PLC, which is Sri Lanka’s largest and most diversified conglomerate. This affiliation provides the necessary engineering expertise, nationwide reach, and institutional strength to meet the evolving mobility requirements of Sri Lanka.

Hasith Prematillake, Managing Director of Hayleys Fentons Limited, commented: “To achieve widespread adoption, sustainable mobility must offer both environmental and commercial benefits. With around 90 kilometers of electric-only driving capability, a total range of up to 1,200 kilometers, and an estimated savings of approximately LKR 15 per kilometer compared to conventional petrol vehicles, the JAECOO J7 PHEV presents an attractive option for high-mileage fleet operators.”

Roshani Dharmaratne, Executive Director of Hayleys Mobility Limited, remarked: “The JAECOO J7 PHEV is perfectly suited for Sri Lanka’s tourism industry, providing the versatility needed for both short trips and longer journeys across the island. With a refined interior, around 500 liters of luggage capacity, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, the vehicle is designed to enhance the passenger experience. The ample luggage space is particularly beneficial for tourists, accommodating their suitcases and personal items, whether arriving from the airport or setting off on extended travels. Additionally, the vehicle features eight airbags, a 540-degree panoramic camera, and advanced driver-assistance systems, ensuring comfort, convenience, and safety in diverse driving conditions.”

Rajieve Fernando, Chief Executive Officer of Hayleys Mobility Limited, added: “Hayleys Mobility is committed to fostering the transition to sustainable mobility through a comprehensive mobility ecosystem, which integrates vehicles, charging infrastructure, technical expertise, and reliable after-sales service to offer our customers a seamless mobility experience.”
