HNB PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading private bank, recently awarded two distinguished winners of its Credit Card campaign exclusive access to the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles and the Australian Open Semi-Finals in Melbourne. The presentation took place at HNB Towers, attended by HNB leadership, staff, and the fortunate winners. During the event, the HNB team personally interacted with each winner, officially handing over their exclusive experiences with clarity, accuracy, and confidence.

Throughout the campaign, HNB Credit Cardholders enjoyed discounts of up to 70% at over 300 partner merchants, covering dining, fashion, electronics, lifestyle, travel, and supermarkets. These savings supported festive spending needs while providing customers with measurable value on both everyday and seasonal purchases.

HNB’s COO, Sanjay Wijemanne, stated, “We offer high-end experiences because trust is built through consistency and execution over time. By delivering opportunities of this scale with care and precision, we reinforce our focus on operational excellence, service quality, and governance across every customer interaction.”

The campaign centered around premium experiential rewards aligned with international benchmarks, highlighting HNB’s status as a premier private bank in Sri Lanka, capable of delivering globally recognized lifestyle experiences through card-based rewards.

Commenting on the initiative, Gauthami Niranjan, Vice President – Cards, said, “We design these premium experiences to show our respect for customers and to deliver real value beyond traditional banking. By providing unique opportunities that connect everyday card usage to extraordinary global events, we recognize loyalty and reinforce the importance of our relationship with each client.”

Club Elite members had the opportunity to attend the 68th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles through a fully paid four-day experience, including return air travel, accommodation, official event access, and curated activities. Priority Circle members earned the chance to experience the Australian Open Semi-Finals in Melbourne with flights, accommodation, match tickets, and curated experiences.

Sandun Hapugoda, Country Manager for Sri Lanka & Maldives at Mastercard, added, “Mastercard is delighted to be part of this truly unique experience created for HNB. Our focus has always been on enabling meaningful and memorable moments for our cardholders while supporting our partners in delivering exceptional value to their customers. This initiative underscores the strength of our collaboration with HNB and a shared commitment to offering world-class experiences and services to consumers across Sri Lanka.”

Eligibility for each experience was determined through predefined card-specific spend thresholds and membership criteria, ensuring fairness, consistency, and credibility. This approach reflects HNB’s disciplined and professional strategy in executing large-scale customer promotions.

The winner of the Grammy Awards experience expressed that the professionalism of the HNB client servicing team was evident and that their relationship with HNB has been positive, reliable, and rewarding. They added that the opportunity was a genuine “wow” moment, bringing sincere appreciation and gratitude toward the Bank. The winner of the Australian Open experience noted that their journey with HNB has always been smooth and dependable, and being offered a global sporting experience through everyday card usage was unexpected, exciting, and deeply appreciated.

Through this initiative, HNB Credit Cards reinforced their leadership in Sri Lanka by combining tangible savings with credible world-class experiences. The Bank continues to demonstrate that long-term customer trust is built through professionalism, consistency, and delivery at every level.
