HNB partners with Gaia Green Energy to empower Sri Lankan households with solar financing solutions

HNB PLC, Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank, has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Gaia Green Energy Holdings Pvt Ltd, a prominent provider of solar energy systems. The partnership aims to promote the adoption of sustainable energy solutions by offering affordable personal and SME loan facilities.

Through this collaboration, eligible customers of Gaia Green Energy Holdings will have access to special financing options from HNB for the purchase of solar electricity generation equipment. This initiative is designed to support Sri Lanka’s transition toward renewable energy, while easing the financial burden on households and small businesses. Under the terms of the agreement, HNB will extend personal and SME loans to qualified customers, enabling them to invest in solar equipment.
