Among the featured solutions at SMART LIFE 2026 were Wi-Fi cameras, 4G solar cameras, and AI-equipped cameras with cloud connectivity. This diverse array of products caters to different settings, from smart homes and commercial spaces to areas lacking stable power sources or reliable Wi-Fi access.

Wi-Fi cameras offer seamless monitoring for everyday environments, whereas 4G solar cameras utilize cellular technology powered by solar energy, making them ideal for locations where traditional power and networking infrastructure are unavailable. AI-enabled cameras with cloud connectivity enhance the monitoring experience, allowing remote access and activity tracking, varying by model and chosen service.

Dilantha Perera, Managing Director and CEO of DARSKO (Pvt) Ltd, stated, “The response for IMOU in our first year has shown a significant demand for smart security technologies in Sri Lanka. Our goal has been to establish a sustainable presence for the brand while equipping our partners with the necessary products, support, and opportunities to adapt to a changing market. SMART LIFE 2026 embodies this vision by connecting the technology community with the solutions and potential that IMOU provides.”

The event emphasized to dealers, resellers, and system integrators the potential for expanding their service offerings beyond traditional CCTV setups. The variety of IMOU solutions enables partners to tailor connectivity, power options, AI capabilities, and remote access based on the specific needs of their clients and locations.

Layne Jia, Director of South Asia at IMOU, remarked, “Sri Lanka represents a vital market for IMOU, and we are pleased with the advancements made alongside DARSKO and our local partners. Our aspiration is to enhance the accessibility of smart technology while developing solutions that cater to the evolving demands of consumers and enterprises. By collaborating closely with the local technology sector, we can generate new opportunities and extend the benefits of connected security and smart living to a broader audience.”

The event illustrated the shift in smart security from isolated cameras or surveillance setups towards more integrated solutions tailored to the unique connectivity and power conditions of specific locations. This evolution offers both consumers and businesses increased flexibility in their security deployments and provides technology partners with opportunities to tackle a wider array of applications.

Through SMART LIFE 2026, DARSKO and IMOU successfully convened the local technology and distribution community to examine these advancements and their significance for the Sri Lankan market. As DARSKO embarks on its second year of promoting IMOU in Sri Lanka, the company aims to further extend the brand’s presence and fortify its network of dealers, resellers, and system integrators nationwide.
