The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce recently organized a Business-to-Business (B2B) networking event for a delegation of 31 members from the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), which is India’s leading export promotion body. This event took place during their visit to Sri Lanka from July 8 to 10, 2026.
The delegation included representatives from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across various sectors, such as pharmaceuticals, engineering, apparel and textiles, food and agricultural products, as well as infrastructure. This session was coordinated by the Ceylon Chamber in partnership with the Indo Lanka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ILCCI), an organization formed under the Ceylon Chamber’s network to foster business relations between Sri Lanka and India.
This engagement served as a valuable platform for Indian and Sri Lankan companies to connect, share market insights, and investigate potential trade opportunities, partnerships, and business collaborations across various sectors. The discussions aimed to pinpoint areas of common interest, including sourcing opportunities, market expansion, and establishing commercial connections.
The presence of Indian SMEs from a range of industries underscored the increasing interest among exporters in exploring Sri Lanka as a viable market and regional business partner. For Sri Lankan companies, particularly SMEs, this event facilitated direct interactions with Indian businesses, enabling them to discover potential pathways for expanding their trade relationships.
The Ceylon Chamber remains committed to supporting businesses through its extensive network and market access initiatives, continually creating opportunities for direct engagement with international counterparts to help companies identify new markets, partners, and business prospects.
